I’m out of creative retirement, and the Shuffle hit me with the theme song to the last script I wrote.

Beautiful song by the Beatles.

Devastating cover by Mister Benson. Just a huge smile on my face whenever I hear this.

Enjoy!

Oh! Darling, please believe me
I’ll never do you no harm
Believe me when I tell you
I’ll never do you no harm
Oh! Darling, if you leave me
I’ll never make it alone
Believe me when I beg you
Don’t ever leave me alone
When you told me you didn’t need me anymore
Well you know I nearly broke down and cried
When you told me you didn’t need me anymore
Well you know I nearly broke down and died
Oh! Darling, if you leave me
I’ll never make it alone
Believe me when I tell you
I’ll never do you no harm
When you told me you didn’t need me anymore
Well you know I nearly broke down and cried
When you told me you didn’t need me anymore
Well you know I nearly broke down and died
Oh! Darling, please believe me
I’ll never let you down
Believe me when I tell you
I’ll never do you no harm.

Things are looking up and getting wrapped up in a way I can allow myself to think about the next #MalikWeek, which is already themed ‘Dark Knight of Cups’.

As I’m in a high mood, treat yourself to another very, very lovely George Benson cover of a Beatles song.

Enjoy!

Looking over the bucket list, I’ve been reminded seeing a Broadway show (as an art lover) and performing on Broadway (as an actor) haven’t been checked off yet.

And not to go any more snobby than usual, but Broadway performers are some of the guys and girls I have the highest respect and envy for.  They remind me quickly of my limitations as a performer (in a good way).

Anyway…jazz hands!

Enjoy.

Enjoying seeing some of the results of the life I’ve worked for come to fruition.  Jogging to home plate with a smile.

Happy. Excited. Romantic.

So if you know me at all, you know we’re going into the weekend with a song (originally) done by one of two artists.

You get two guesses and the first one doesn’t count…

Have a great weekend gang!

At this point, most of you know my rules for covering an already iconic song.

  1. Go into a completely different genre.
  2. Make it so much ‘your song’, people start questioning if they prefer the original.

There’s a reason ‘The Other Side of Abbey Road’ is considered one of the great cover albums ever. Here’s one.

Enjoy!
