One Down…

That first month moved at a nice clip.  I owe you a few more movie reviews that may or may not come before the Oscars.  I will give my predictions before the 24th; I promise you that much.

A little bit of adjusting had to be done (as I’m sure you’ve all done when the calendar flips).  But no complaints right now.  The momentum I started last year has carried over.  My daily life right now feels something like this: make money, rehearse, workout, meditate, pray, repeat.  When an opportunity arises, I try to have a little fun in there as well.  But truthfully, ‘fun’ can wait for the time being.  I’ve taken in a lot of good news these first four weeks; some of it the results of the hard work I put in last year, some of it just the result of people hearing the tenor in my voice (figuratively and literally) and seeing “Oh, this is the plan, these are the next couple steps.  This is happening, it’s happening right now.’  So in that vein I’ve already made the decision to spend the next six weeks or so working with no days off, and my birthday will be my ‘holiday’.  Probably.

I talked to my Captain today and as I’ve told him and others I’m close to, all the pieces in my life fit now.  I’ve thought about writing what that means as far as my personal life goes, say in a couple weeks.  Yeah, probably not, you know me too well readers!  But I will say that’s one of, if not the nicest part about getting older.  You’re not searching for your ‘spot’ anymore; you’re set in your ways and your passions, so you don’t overthink or overanalyze as much as you did when you were younger.  You just live in the moment.

Last thing before the weekend, my Super Bowl pick: cheering for the ‘2nd’ greatest receiver ever, Randy Moss, to get himself a ring.  49ers 30, Ravens 21.

Straight cash homey!
