In the middle of my annual ‘History of Major American Wrestling’ viewing, the American Dragon officially announced his retirement.

The way the Business has changed, he truly might be the last World Champion who spent decades touring the world perfecting his craft before getting his shot in ‘the Big Leagues’.

Sad to see someone who had such a visceral connection with the fans go, but with what we know now about concussions and life after sports, it’s kind of nice to see (from all sides) these guys value the (hopefully) second half of their lives more.

Anyway, today’s song is a respect choice.
