The only thing I have to add on this Donald Sterling mess is he’s making some of the shorts I’ve written earlier this year seem damn prophetic.  Stay tuned on that regard.

Moving on, they always tell you to ‘write what you know’.  It’s only now on the back end, as I’m writing shorter summaries of ‘Lady’, that I realize how the two main characters are me, broken in two halves.  The young rage filled man, who got WAY too much, WAY too fast, completely jaded and disgusted by love, but with enough lust and charm to put the notches on his belt. A lot of potential but too much chaos going on inside his head.

And the older man, who’s figured it out.  Who’s been down the young man’s road, but who also knows (because he’s been there) when verbal advice is needed, and when the best lessons are learned through experience.  The relationships at this point are lifetime investments, the joy in life comes from the love of a woman who appreciates what he’s about, the friends who keep him laughing through the stressful days, the community service he does to try to help those who don’t (and probably will never) get any of the breaks he had in life. The ambition is still there, but it has its place within the scope of a completely lived life.

So I’m content at the moment with where things are at and looking forward to diving back into the ‘fun’ craft (acting).

Let’s use that segway to start the week with this.  I’ve been getting emails and alerts about Macca rolling through my city.  At no point have I had a spot on my bucket list that said ‘See a Beatle play Dodger Stadium’, but on the 10 percent chance I can make that happen this summer…

OHHHHHHHHHHH MAN….

Have a good week!

I give her all my love
That’s all I do
And if you saw my love
You’d love her too
I love her

She gives me everything
And tenderly
The kiss my lover brings
She brings to me
And I love her

A love like ours
Could never die
As long as I
Have you near me

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her
